well yeah im bitter. i just thought the slight play on words in the title would be clever, but not very much so. at work a supervisor position opened up and i didnt apply and turns out one of the people that got the job has been working 2 weeks. like you serious??
the reason i didnt apply was cause at the time ive only been working a month. and you know how in any other job, even mcdonalds, you have to have sayyyy 5 months experience minimum to even be considered for a supervisor position? well i guess fucking not for my fucking job. most unprofessional place ive ever seen. im not mad at the dude. i mean hes a nice dude and its not his fault. hell he might have some special skills i dont know about. he had the guts to apply and he got rewarded. im just mad at the situation. like what kind of fucking job gives a guy a promotion after 2 weeks?? the fuck is that??
the worst thing is that the people that hes leading i trained already. and im one of the most experienced people with that one particular task that theyre doing. so im all bitter that a job that seems so well suited for me slipped through my fingers. whenever i see the guy that took the job im all like “that should be MY desk, and MY computer with dual monitors! and i should be doing nothing and getting paid for it!”. yeah and hes not very familiar with the task and he actually asks me how to do it. /sigh its so lame. if i applied i know i wouldve got that job
but i think the good thing is that i think i know what i want to do as far as a career. i really enjoyed helping/managing people; so i think i wanna be a manager. and my first step will be to get a lead position in my current work place. yeah i dont wanna be a grunt worker the rest of my life. i wanna do less work and just tell people what to do. ah, thats the life
on a side note we had an office party on friday and i played water pong (beer pong with water instead) and got 5th in the work place. the top 4 got prizes so it sucked. but later in the day the main supervisor called my name to get a prize. woot woot. i guess they had extra prizes. i got a $10 gift card to amc theaters and my partner got one for coldstones. was lame cause i dont generally like movies and i like coldstones…… T_T
oh yeah changed my desktop picture. i know i havent updated in hella long but i just remembered randomly at work that i used to post every time i change my desktop picture, so here it is. my current one is rin kagamine in black rock shooter form. picture by kunieda
